A success story in constant evolution

Elettromeccanica Bonato has its roots in a long family tradition.
A constantly evolving story that, from 1969 to the present day, has seen the company grow from a small artisan business to a successful firm.
The first transformation took place in 1985: in order to meet the growing demand, the company moved from the outskirts of Milan to Gorgonzola, and Elettromeccanica Bonato di Bonato Mario became Elettromeccanica Bonato S.r.l.
Later in 1985, the company’s technical skills and expertise, combined with the high quality of its workmanship led it to be recognised as the first Siemens S.p.a. authorised repair centre in Italy.
The passion and constant desire to always offer the best to its Customers, so as to guarantee dynamic and precise solutions, led to a further step forward. In 1998, Elettromeccanica Bonato S.r.l. moved to its new production site: 5,000 square meters of pure hospitality, 3,000 sq.m. of which are divided into offices and departments, built, and equipped to the highest standards.
For a company operating in a highly competitive market, achieving, and maintaining the highest quality standards is a priority. Since 1999, the company has been ISO 9001:2015 certified, a recognition that stands for quality, reliability, and transparency.
Constant investment in state-of-the-art technology and machinery, as well as in the training of its staff, has allowed the company to broaden the industrial sectors in which it operates; all this contributed to its continuous business growth and to the achievement of the ATEX IEC 60079-19:2019 certification in 2011.
The solid foundations laid over these 50 years of history have allowed the second and third generations of the Bonato family to look to the future with confidence, by taking a further and important step forward. Through the acquisition of a neighbouring area in the early months of 2021, Elettromeccanica Bonato S.r.l. enlarged its production centre, thus reaching an occupied area of 8,500 square metres, 5,000 sq.mt of which are dedicated to offices and a specialised electromechanical workshop.

Technical knowledge, operational reliability and proven problem-solving skills have enabled the company to establish itself as a true Italian leader in the repair of electric motors of all types and power ratings.
On a case-by-case basis, from the most basic to the most demanding requests, the company is able to respond to every problem and ensure that our Customers’ work flows uninterrupted and unhindered: because the heart of your work is also ours.
A proper diagnosis is the first and essential step towards a successful maintenance: each motor undergoes thorough testing and analysis to detect any faults. The inspections are physical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical: our engineering team studies the cause of the failure, determines the most suitable method of intervention, and finally verifies the success of the repair. From disassembly to rebuild, our operational skills are such that both small engines and those weighing up to 30 tonnes can be handled with ease and flexibility. Each step, from acceptance to delivery, is documented, as to establish the scope, ensure the transparency of the technical intervention and certify its guarantee over time.
Thanks to a well-stocked spare parts warehouse and a constantly available Customer service, we are always ready to solve any kind of need, and to undertake repairs that can be likened to actual surgical operations, so that cases that are often considered lost can be revived.

Fifty years of experience and a state-of-the-art facility ensure that we can provide dynamic and precise solutions to any problem, whether small or large.
Each motor is monitored step by step, and everything is documented, to ensure maximum transparency.
With mechanical technology and manual expertise, our workshop departments promptly intervene with every specific care, in order to guarantee the Customer the best result and a workmanlike execution.

LOW AND MEDIUM VOLTAGE MOTORS

Ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of low and medium voltage electric motors.
Large departments, a state-of-the-art equipment, and the ability to handle loads of up to 30 tonnes are just some of the strengths that enable us to tackle all engine disassembly and assembly operations with ease.
The mechanical department, which is dedicated to dimensional and tolerance checks, is able to rebuild new mechanical components and process shafts longer than 5 m.
In our rewinding department, we produce low and medium voltage windings which are then resined using slow-flow and VPI vacuum autoclave technology.

BRUSHLESS MOTORS - ELECTROSPINDLES - ADAPTORS - GEARBOXES

The experience gained in more than fifty years of activity has made it possible for us to become today a leader in the field of repair and service of brushless motors, axis motors and electrospindles of any type and manufacturer, as well as ZF adapters and gearboxes.
Elettromeccanica Bonato’s know-how lies in its ability to manage not only the motor, but also power cables, signal cables and drive electronic boards, thus ensuring its Customers minimum downtime and a complete service.

MOTOR TESTING

Thanks to a state-of-the-art test room, we can carry out thorough checks/inspections, and test motors up to 6000 V.
A proper diagnosis is the first and indispensable step towards a successful repair. For this reason, each engine undergoes thorough testing and analysis in order to precisely identify any faults.
Once the repair has been completed, the motors undergo acceptance tests to certify that they are functioning correctly and to guarantee the Customer that the repair has been carried out to the highest standards.
During this phase, the motors are constantly monitored by sensors, which analyse their electrical performance, as well as carrying out vibration and temperature analysis.
Dedicated drives allow us to carry out function tests under applied load, both for brushless and asynchronous motors.
Whether large or small, our test engineers always pay the utmost attention to the engine.
All data collected during these phases are documented, archived, and made available for consultation by the Customer through our dedicated portal.
